This weekend's Cinema Under the Stars in Armidale has regrettably been postponed due to a forecast of poor weather conditions.
The event was rescheduled for Saturday, February 22.
The free community event was highly anticipated, expected to draw around 2000 people for a night family-friendly entertainment and a screening of Home Alone at Civic Park.
Cinema Under the Stars is Australia's largest free regional outdoor cinema program, with 14 events happening across regional New South Wales this season.
EARLIER:
As a free, family friendly event, Cinema Under the Stars was always a welcome event on the Armidale social calendar, and after last year's washout it looks like being more popular than ever.
Newcastle Permanent will present the film in Civic Park from 5.30pm on Saturday November 30.

Until the sun goes down there will also be live music, kids activities including a circus workshop, roving characters and football activities.
Armidale's assistant branch manager Terry Manning said the movie to be shown on the night is the PG rated, holiday classic Home Alone.
"Since 2008, Newcastle Permanent's Cinema Under the Stars has brought people together at free outdoor cinema events in regional NSW, and our 10th event in Armidale is expected to attract 3000 people," he said.

"We understand how much people in regional communities look forward to our events, and as a customer-owned organisation it's a real pleasure to give them to the communities that support us."
Terry said people were encouraged to take along their picnic rugs and picnics, or purchase food and non-alcoholic drinks at the event.
This season's Cinema Under the Stars will travel to 14 locations.
