The school sent a boys and girls team to the year seven and eight All Schools carnival in Inverell on Tuesday.
The boys team cruised through the carnival to finish as regional champions.
They faced Glen Innes in the quarter finals and defeated them 5-1.
Guyra then played Holy Trinity in the semi-final and scored a 5-2 win.
They faced the much bigger MacIntyre High School in the grand final and managed to pull off a tight, 5-4 victory.
The triumph in Inverell ensures the Guyra team a trip to western Sydney to play the state finals on November 22 at the Kingsway Playing Fields, Werrington.
The girls' team played Moree in their first game for a 4-nil win.
They then faced eventual winners Holy Trinity and were defeated 5-nil.
The Guyra girls reversed that result when they beat Inverell 5-nil.
Their final match of the day was against Glen Innes who beat Guyra 3-nil.
Congratulation to all players for a fantastic day and demonstrating awesome sportsmanship throughout.
A special thank you to Kiarna Landsborough and Alistair Connors for refereeing on the day.
