People seem to really enjoy it, I've heard a few people say that 'women play like we used to years ago!'
- Britt Youman
Group 19 hosted a nines tournament at the end of 2018 and are planning another one for this year, beginning mid-October.
Britt Youman is gathering interest for players wanting to represent Guyra in the competition.
Last year was Youman's first attempt at the tackle version of the sport and said it wasn't as daunting as what she thought.
"Majority of the team loved it, it was so much fun and heard a few people in the crowd say how entertaining it was and how good the level of football was," she said after round one last year.
"I think women's tackle will only get stronger in the future, may even outdo men some day."
The crowd were kept entertained over the course of the matches.
"People seem to really enjoy it, I've heard a few people say that 'women play like we used to years ago,'" Youman said.
The Group 19 women's tackle team was chosen from the nines competition and they took on teams from Group 4 and 21.
