A man has been charged after firearms, property and cannabis plants were seized in a national park in the state’s north.

Officers from New England Police District received information relating to thefts in the Ebor, Dorrigo, and Bellingen areas committed by people camped in the Cathedral Rock National Park, near Ebor.
Police attended the location at Ebor and recovered an ATV, a loaded .22 calibre pump action rifle, assorted ammunition, a knuckle duster, fridges, generators, cash, various power and non-power tools, trail cams, smashed National Park collection boxes and assorted other items.
The total value of these items has been estimated at over $50,000.
A cannabis site was also located with 193 cannabis plants seized from a netted and fenced area.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at the location and taken to Armidale Police Station.
He was interviewed and charged with unauthorised possession of firearm, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and possessing a prohibited weapon.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Armidale Local Court on Tuesday, January 29.
New England Police District are seeking information from the public to assist in identifying owners of the recovered property.
