The school is honoured to announce that Robert French AC will be the special guest on the night.
Robert French was a graduate of the University of Western Australia in science and law, and he was appointed a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia in November 1986, an office he held until his appointment as Chief Justice. From 1994 to 1998 he was the President of the National Native Title Tribunal.

Appointed Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia on September 1 2008, Mr French held office until January 29 last year. Following his retirement as Chief Justice, Mr French was appointed as a Non-Permanent Justice of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal in May 2017 and in January 2018 as an International Judge of the Singapore International Commercial Court.
He is an Adjunct Professor at the Law School at the University of Western Australia, a Distinguished Honorary Professor at the Australian National University and an Adjunct Professor at Monash University Law School. He was elected as Chancellor of the University of Western Australia in December 2017.
The function will run from 6.30pm – 10.30pm and cost $60 per person. Dress will be cocktail. It will include a drink and canape reception on the lawns of Boolomimbah, followed by a two-course formal dinner.
A number of rooms have been allocated at Mary White College for those who wish to stay on-campus. The nightly rate is $62 per person. The rooms are single occupancy however alternate rooms can be requested on booking (subject to price and availability).
