On September 26 an outstanding field of 74 golfers from New England district golf clubs competed in the NEDGA 4BBB Championship and Veterans’ Annual Tournament.

Donna White and Pip White were the best performing golfers of the Tournament.
Donna and Pip won the NEDGA 4BBB Championship with 46 points and were presented with the Win Fayle Rose Bowl. Val Davidson and Dawn McNemiman (Tenterfield) were runners up with 43 points.
Donna and Pip qualified to represent the New England District at Bonville Golf Course, in November, at the Keno 4BBB Par NSW Championship final.
Their score was +9 in the Par qualifier event.
Pip was on cloud nine about making the final at Bonville and acknowledged Donna’s marvellous golf game which contributed the lion’s share of the points.
Belinda Lenehan and Debbie Burey played scintillating golf to win the NEDGA 4BBB Veterans’ Championship with 45 Stableford points and were presented with the Marie Trim Perpetual Trophy.
Pat Pickering and Lyn O’Brien (Inverell) were runners up with 42 points on a count back.
Other results were: NEDGA 4BBB Championship Gross Cheryl McDonald and Donna Martin (Walcha).
NEDGA 4BBB Veterans’ Championship Gross Karen Oehlers and Wendy George.
4BBB Veterans holes 1-9 Gaye Johnson and Chris MacDonald (Armidale).
4BBB Veterans holes 10-18 Kerry Bull and Suzanne Towells.
NTP 7th & 9th Cheryl McDonald (Walcha). 10th Colleen Taggert (Uralla) 18th Penny King (Walcha).
Men’s Golf
Thanks to the wonderful enthusiasm of the lady golfers and friends, such as the staff at the Guyra Pharmacy, for the donations which helped make the Tournament a great success.
With this Sunday being pennant day in Delungra these 12 players will leaving Guyra around 7:30 to compete.

The presentation barbecue is on Saturday October 13 at 4.30pm and numbers will be finalised this Saturday, so if you can please let Betty know if you will be attending so you don’t miss out.
Sunday the 14th will be the Brian Lennon Memorial Day where everyone is welcome to come and play and have a drink with “Beakies” family and friends.
