Tingha Public School hosts NAIDOC colour run

A colour run, doll making and music workshops were just some of the many NAIDOC Week activities Tingha Public School squeezed into their final week of classes last week.

It started with a special assembly on Monday. Isobel Williams addressed the students on the importance of this year's theme ' Because of her I can.'

On Wednesday, Gilgai Public School joined the Tingha students to participate in a fun day of cultural activities that included doll making, beading, didgeridoo playing, johnny cakes, poetry reading, rounders and dancing.

To finish the celebrations the students participated in music workshops followed by a colour run. George Huitker and his Junk Sculpture band kindly volunteered to provide the music and entertainment for the colour run.

Tingha Public School would like to thank all the community members and organisations who assisted with the different activities during the week.
