READY TO ROLL: The Super Spuds league taggers will commence the Old Boys Day with their match against second-last Ashford.

The Guyra Super Spuds men’s are ready to continue their run of form which has seen them win four out of their last five matches when they line up against Ashford at home for their Old Boys’ Day this Sunday.

Fresh off a bye, the Spuds are aiming to continue their momentum but face a Roosters outfit who have found some form in recent rounds.

Guyra player-coach Anthony Dittman said his side are raring to go.

“Team looking pretty good should be back to full-strength pending on a suspension,” he said.

“Ashford are becoming the silent achievers and are making good progress up the ladder we wont be taking them lightly.

“Last time we played Ashford they got the upper hand and we didn't play footy at all – it was sloppy and [had] no structure. We will be looking to come out all guns blazing and hoping to be a different outcome this time.”

While Ashford finished their round 12 loss against Uralla with only 13 players, Dittman is wary of how dangerous the Roosters can be.

“They will be just as hungry for the win as us. It is becoming really tight in the top four so a win is very important,” he said.

In the league tag, the Spuds have the chance to lift off the bottom of the table if they beat second-last Ashford.

The girls turned up against Bingara two weeks ago and will be hoping to replicate their effort.

Games begin at 12pm on Sunday.
