A suspension saw Vidler sit on the sideline for the Spuds’ first six matches but he is set to return against the table-topping Tenterfield Tigers for round eight.
The Spuds crushed a 14-man Warialda Wombats in their recent outing on their home turf. The hosts were well in front 30-6 at half-time continued their rout in the second stanza to take the game 48-16.
“We made a couple of position changes last week and that seemed to work well for us,” Vidler said of the Warialda game.

“I think it did us a world of good the week before to get beaten by Ashford, it was a bit of a wake-up call.”
Tenterfield suffered their first loss against Uralla in round seven and will be aiming for redemption while Guyra are aiming to continue their momentum.
“Coming off that win last week, we are looking forward to this game,” Vidler said.
“Everyone is looking forward to this weekend and hopefully we come out on top but it should be a good game either way.”
Vidler’s main dilemma heading into the clash is working out where he will line up on the field with Guyra’s squad brimming with star forwards.
“I would like to try and leave the forward pack as is if I can, depending on injuries. As long as I am on the field I will be happy. If there is a spot there I will be taking it,” he said.
In the league tag, both Guyra and Tenterfield will be aiming to secure their second win for the season.
A slow opening half against Warialda saw Guyra fall behind the eight-ball early and couldn’t recover, losing 34-14.
“We try and play catch-up football and make little mistakes that hurt us,” coach Graham Smith said.
“We have to be patient and not try and score off every tackle.”
The last time the Spudettes and the Tigerettes played, Guyra took a comfortable 22-6 win.
“That is all in the past now, we just have to worry about this week,” he said.
“We know that they have improved so it is up to us, we have to improve. I am pretty sure the girls are switched on and ready to go this week.”
