After a few close matches showing plenty of promise, the Tigerettes defended their way to a 20-nil shut out of the visiting side.
The Wayne Minns-coached team missed out on snagging the two points in their opening three matches but, with a full contingent ready to play, they managed to topple the previously third-placed Warialda.
“There has been a bit of an attitude change,” Minns said.
“We have been working on a different direction in our attack and it started to come together on Saturday which was really good.”

“The girls that played before in Border League, we were king pins in Border League and it has just come to reality now that this is a lot different situation and they are starting to take a lot more notice of what is required of them.
“I tried to get it through their heads early in the season that this is a whole new ball-game and I think they have realised it is a new ball-game and they have to work a lot harder.”
Two tough battles beckon for Tenterfield in coming weeks with second-placed Walcha this Saturday and ladder leaders Uralla for round seven.
The Jillaroos haven’t had a point scored against them since round two Minns’ side is ready for the challenge.
“I think it should be a good game, we are just starting to find our feet. Keeping that defensive line good and if we can hold [Walcha] to zero, it gives us more of a chance,” he said.
“There was a bit of talk at the end of the game ‘Monday night I need to see everybody there so we can work on everything again.’
“My main focus has been our defence but we also need to sharpen our attack which we are starting to do now.
“And just a few little drills to help the girls out and give them more focus on what they are doing in their attack to taking the ball up and how they play the game.
“We will nut a few things out at training and what we can improve. We have a few more drills that we need to do and improve on some of the aspects from Saturday, basic sort of stuff.”
