Scores of veterans, emergency service crew, school children marched the Bridge Street before finishing at the memorial in Alma Park.
Wreaths were laid at the Korean Memorial and the Vietnam Commemoration Plaque.
A community of young and old faces stood together during the town’s commemoration service.
The service was followed by a luncheon for ex-servicemen and ex-servicewomen at the Thunderbolt Inn.
