Last weekend saw the first two rounds of the championships played in the Country Fresh Bakery sponsored round one. The winner was N Paine with S Wilson runner up. Nearest to the pins were B Stanley on the 7th R Burey on the 10th and S Sole on the 18th. Round two sponsored by the Four Ways was won by R Grills with B Constance runner-up. Nearest to the pins were B Constance on the 7th, R Grills on the 10th and B Nicholls on the 18th. The leader in A grade is A Brennan 5 shots in front of D Hill. B grade sees B Constance and S Wilson equal and R Grills has C grade sewn up.

Last week’s midweek competition saw Full House win with 63 points with the best individual score being 18 points by K Oehlers . The Opal Cove Cup is well underway, with great prizes on offer this competition is run over 12 months with points allocated to all players based on their finishing position in each competition.
Ladies
On Wednesday 7th March the 2nd round of the Golf NSW Medal competition was played in blustery winds. The winner with a fine 72 net score was Wendy George and runner up was Karen Oehlers with a 76 net score. Nearest the pin winner on the 10th hole was Wendy George whose accurate shot landed 4.5 metres from the pin.
On Wednesday 21st March a Stableford competition will be played for Belinda Lenehan’s Trophy Day. It’s time to submit your entries for the Guyra Top of the Range Golf Carnival on 23rd, 24th and 25th March. Sponsors have provided prizes to the value of $4000.
