Northwest Church and Fourways Service Station combined efforts on Sunday morning to give thirty fortunate motorists $20 worth of fuel for free.
To many it was a welcome surprise - after all who gives away fuel for free?
Fuel is one of the bills that is hard to avoid in rural areas, and the Church felt that free fuel was a way to assist the lucky recipients to get through their week a little easier and contribute to a Happy Easter break.
Northwest volunteers reported recipient’s amazement and gratitude for such a practical and helpful gift.
Although there was an initial queue, the traffic flowed well and all the vouchers were used by around 9am.
