Guyra remembers Bruce Thomson

Golfers and residents gathered at the Guyra Golf Course on Saturday, to dedicate a memorial seat and play a tournament to celebrate the life of Bruce Thomson. “Bruce was first attracted to Guyra by a local girl and with several partners launched the first electronic livestock weighing company in the world based in Guyra.” In 1994 he and several players formed the Guyra Veteran Golfers of which he was secretary and treasurer for 17 years,” David Bearup said. Drinks and a sausage sizzle was enjoyed at the unveiling.
