Dorothy Every has been recognised for her commitment to the Ben Lomond community by being named Guyra Citizen of the Year for 2012. The award was presented by Australia Day Ambassador for the Guyra Shire, Sue Woolfe, at the Australia Day Awards dinner held at the Guyra Bowling and Recreation Club on Wednesday, January 25.

Speed cameras won’t be reinstated

NEW ENGLAND Local Area Command (LAC) Highway Patrol Sergeant Dave Bramble has told the Armidale Express that he believes the removal of two speed cameras at Tilbuster and Llangothlin last November has had no detrimental impact.
