Northern Tablelands a world leader in holistic management
The Northern Tablelands has recorded the world’s earliest and largest uptake of holistic land management (HM), a New England Mutual (NEM) business breakfast was told in Guyra this week.
The Mayors of Armidale Dumaresq, Guyra, Uralla and Walcha councils have met informally to discuss their respective positions regarding submissions to the Kibble Review of local government structure in the district.
A Science Revolution at Guyra Central School
A Science Revolution at Guyra Central School Work is progressing very well on the new Science facility as it finally takes shape with the frames being erected this week. It will be such an asset to have a state of the art, modern facility to expand the delivery of a broad range of science programs at the school.

Spuds welcome new signings
The Guyra Super Spuds have welcomed three new signings for 2010. Armidale local but born and bred in Guyra Will Archibald will play his first season in Guyra in 2010. Will has played a number of seasons with Armidale and is well known for his electric speed
There were three Club Championship games played over the weekend and the results were: Handicap Singles: Braden Sole (-1) proved to strong for Mick Rusden (0) taking the game 31 – 12 over 26 ends. Braden’s Singles form has continued from last weekend. Col Stanley (-8) returned to form when he defeated Paul Johnson (+3) 31 – 13 over 27 ends.
