The win on Monday came after she scored a double riding Paul Grills’ Kingston Time and the Terry Vidler-trained Shadow Boss at the Diggers Cup in Inverell on Saturday.
Of her win on Kingston Time, coming out of barrier two in the 1600-metre race, Worley crossed the finish line first by half a length.
“I was really pleased with the win because we had the top weight on for the race and it was a hard-fought victory,” she said.
“We had to come from behind to win and now I have ridden Kingston Time for eight wins, which equals the amount of wins I have had on Miss Caityn.
“I feel the horse and I know each other pretty well and I am always happy to get to ride Kingston Time.
“He is one of my favourite horses.”
Worley said the gelding was in the pack during large portions of the race.
“He likes to run that way so we stuck to what we know of him,” she said.
“He likes to race to the finish; he hardly ever leads the pack for an entire race.”
After riding Kingston Time to victory, Worley’s win with Shadow Boss came in the sixth race for the day.
“That race was a bit easier than the earlier one,” she said.
“I jumped first, we bolted to the lead early and stayed there for the whole race.
“We eventually won by three lengths and it was an enjoyable ride.
“It was a very strong win for her and I have ridden her for most of her starts so we know each other well also.”
Worley said she felt this season was going well for her so far.
“I did pretty well last season and I think the results for this season are due to that foundation,” she said.
“I have put in lots of hard work and it’s paying off.”
Worley said she was looking forward to the local summer carnivals and was looking to continue her good form.
“The local carnivals are coming up and I always enjoy riding in them,” Worley said.
“I love the Glen Innes cup, the Deepwater cup and the Inverell cup.
“I love this time of year because I always get full books and the more I ride the better I get.
“I’ll just keep focusing on working hard."
