Results of the Handicap Singles played over the weekend: September 1.0 I 1.1. Saturday, September 1.0 saw John Jackson defeat Evan Sole in the Semi Final of the Handicap Singles with a score of 31- 23 after giving Evan 1.1 shots start.
Sunday, September 11 saw Steven Sole defeat John Jackson in the Final with a score of 31 – 1.3 after giving John 2 shots start. Congratulations to Steven being Handicap Singles Champion for 2016.
Results of games played over the weekend: September 1.7 I 1.8.
Sunday September 1.8 saw Evan Sole defeat Barry Campbell in Minor Singles the score 31-28 over 32 ends. The score was level on five occasions. On with upcoming club championships:
Major/Minor Pairs: Dan Kerinedy and Graham Starr to play John Pennell and John Hamel. John Mcillwain and Roger Cox to play Murray Bourke and Michael Shiner. These games are to played by October 9. Played September 26, Semi Final of the Minor Singles between John Pennell and Evan Sole with the result going to John Pennell. To kick off the 191.7 season : Club Pairs: Colin Stanley and David Lyes to play Wayne Reeves and Geoff Reeves. Scott Campbell and Boyd Stanley to play Michael Shiner and partner.
Robert Moore and Paul Johnson to play John Jackson and Barry Campbell. Barry Presnell and Andrew Sparke to play Steven Sole and Robert Walls. The above games to be played by October 12. On the notice board are two sheets asking for nominations in the Mixed Triples to be played November 30, as part of the Guyra Bowling Club's Annual Carnival.
There is also a sheet asking for nominations in the Women's Open Triples to be played November 29. The Women's Open Triples kicks of the Annual Carnival.

In closing this week I would like to congratulate the Triples team of David Wilcox, Murray Bourke and Cameron Peardon on their success at the Scotts Head Triples Carnival held over the weekend of September 1.0 I 1.1. I apologise for last weeks report a little hiccup in reporting destinations, but all's well now.
GUYRA MEN’S GOLF
Midweek Golf starts on October 10. Midweek is just around the corner, so get your teams together and join in the fun. No golf was played due to the wet course. Hopefully we will get a game soon. Dougie Waters Memorial is on October 9 and Brian Lennon Memorial is October 16. There will be a come and try day on the October 8 for everyone who wants to have a game, anyone interested please call the Club.
