On May 29 they travelled to Moree to take on the Boars and claimed victory with a try in the dying moments of the game.
The game went down to the wire with the final result a come from behind win for Guyra 28-26. In the Reserve grade game Guyra went down 22-6.
On the weekend their clash against the Macintyre Warriors at the Guyra Sporting Complex was another close tussle. When the final whistle blew, the teams could not be split with the final score 22 all. The reserves finished on the wrong side of the ledger going down 28-22.
In other first grade matches Ashford made short work of Tingha, while the Moree Boomerangs got their season back on track with a 22-16 win over the Boars in the local derby.
The Warriors are currently on top of the table, with Guyra sitting third behind the Inverell Hawks.
No games this week due to the long weekend. On June 19 Guyra will make the trek back to Moree to take on the Boomerangs.
