The cubby house was built and donated by Stephen Holt who says that it was a ‘labour of love’. This is the latest handmade wooden item that Mr Holt has donated to the centre.
“I enjoy creating things that the kids can play with, and it is great to see them having fun,” he said.
The cubby house was constructed over a period of six months on the back of a trailer and delivered to the centre last week.
Preschool Supervisor Amanda Campbell said it was a welcome addition and something that they otherwise would not be able to afford.
“To purchase a similar cubby house would cost close to $2000 and we simply don’t have the funds for that,” she said. “Stephen has been a great supporter and the cubby house has been a real hit with the kids.”
His next project is a custom built table and chairs to furnish the cubby house.
