On Saturday Guyra travelled to Inverell to play Inverell West.
Guyra were slow to start, conceding the first try but then scored the next couple and went into half time leading by four.
In the second half, the Guyra boys forgot how to tackle and were defeated 34-28.
Try scorers were Tom Lockyer, Ty Mulligan, Oscar Atkin 2 and Riley Campbell.
Jack McCook and Ben Reinke played their best games and Charlie Mitchell showed everyone how to tackle.
Next week we play Moree at home. Games start at 10.00am.

Under 12:
The under 12s travelled to Inverell to play against an undefeated Inverell West side.
With Guyra a bit short of players, they seemed to put their heads down straight away. So with a team talk before taking the field, they were keen to take them on with the Super Spud spirit we all know.
In the first half, the boys scrambled well in defence, seeing Alistair Connors making some try saving tackles with Harrison Dowden and Ben Stevens making some copy book tackles as well.
In attack, Calvin Reinke and Tallin Rolff made some good yards taking them to half time 18-0 down.
In the second half there was a great improvement in the spuds never giving up, with Joey Ryan and Angus Brazier stopping everyone that came their way.
In defence Harry Lockyer and Bailey Wilson ran hard making a lot of metres.
I must say, a huge effort from all the boys right through the team for never giving up which saw them finish the game 28-0 down. Hold your heads high for the effort and hopefully soon we will have the injured boys back.

Girls Guyra League Tag
Guyra Girls travelled to Inverell on Saturday to play against a very switched on Inverell West side.
The Girls took the field very casually and Inverell took advantage of this and ran in two quick tries.
The girls then pulled it together and by half time had the score at 12-all.
The second half was all Guyra’s ball and with some very smart thinking by Kianna Landsborough and Tori Brazier who both ran in tries.
Sarah Skipper ran the ball well and made some great yards up the middle, Maggie Reinke and newcomer Tayah Mitchell both had good games.
Guyra ended the game on a high and took the win 24-12
Try scorers were Tori Brazier 4, Kiana Landsborough and Ellie Mitchell 1 each.
