The 2’s travelled to Inverell to play. In the first game they played Narrabri, boing down 46-70; however, the team of D Lyes, B Presnell, S Sole and J McIllwain recorded a 20-14 victory.
The second game saw the above team score another win, but alas the result was a 53-71 loss to Walgett.
After this game, team talk and selection was the order of the evening (team changes).
Out they came Sunday morning to take on Kootingal. The team of D Lyes, B Presnell, M Shiner and B Sole scoring a victory 24-15.
The team of R Moore, S Campbell,
S Sole and J McIllwain had a win 17-14.
The team of D Wilcox, C Peardon,
C Stanley and D Kennedy also a win
30-18.
Overall result being a win to Guyra 71-47.
The No. 7’s played at home on Sunday. In the first match they played Armidale City.
The team of W Reeves, J Hamel,
G Reeves and B Walls a win by 23-16, but the result was a 52-69 loss.
Sunday arvo saw us take on Ex-Servies. The team of W Reeves,
J Hamel, G Reeves and B Walls (again) a victory by 21-15.
The team of R Cox, J Pennell, M Bourke and J Jackson a win by 22-15.
The team of R Walls, I Reid, P Johnson and A Sparke a loss by 18-24.
Final result: 61-54 to Guyra.
The next round of Pennants will be held on Saturday and Sunday, 2 and 3 May for the No. 2’s at Gunnedah.
For the No. 7’s it will be on Sunday, 3 May at Armidale Ex-Servies.
