Up against Ex Services Maroon, Guyra won the toss and sent the opposition into bat, dismissing them for 154. The best of the Guyra bowlers was Shane Wolfenden who took 3 for 17 off 8 overs. He was well supported by Brandon Landsborough with 3 for 42 and Heath Dowsett who took 2 for 30. Jake Mackay and Peter Presnell both took one wicket.
Showing their good form from last week was no fluke. Openers Brandon Landsborough and Matt Friend blasted the bowlers for an opening partnership of 110, before Brandon was out for 52.
Guyra passed the Ex Services total after just 27 overs, with Friend remaining not out on 82. Matt Simpson (13) and Shane Wolfenden (5)were the only others to score for Guyra who finished the day at 3/158 for a win.
The win puts them on the top of the table as the only team to come away with two wins from the first two competition games. This week they will take on TAS Blue at Wakefield.
