For many of us, it was our first C2S. We travelled down with no expectations and were blown away by the atmosphere. There were Bands on balconies, musicians at bus stops, local businesses pumping music to keep people going.
Many runners were dressed up and some of the costumes were fantastic. There were Smurfs in speedos, beer bottles, babies, super heroes, and men dressed up in cardboard Lego men costumes, just to name a few!
What an awesome experience, with a great group of girlfriends! Everyone ran a fantastic race and we’d all do it again. We ran much better than we expected and had so much fun.
The slogan, “Altitude with Attitude” on our pink shirts is just something that a group of us get every year. The group is basically made up of our boot camp group, with a couple of friends who do fun runs and other activities with us. There are also a few blokes that have them too!
On the back the shirts have “GUYRA” and our elevation, 1330 metres. Each year we have a different colour made up!
Jason Rolff registered with the City 2 Surf and raised over $713 for the Black Dog Institute.
