Wade Smith has taken up the position of Acting Health Service Manager at Guyra Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPS).

Mr Smith will be relieving in the role for 12 months, while Christopher Hakansan is on extended leave. His role also includes Tingha MPS, where he will work one day per week.
Wade comes to Guyra from Glen Innes where he has worked for the past six years. He studied at the University of New England and has also worked at Armidale and Manly Hospitals. During his time at Glen Innes he worked as the Palliative Care Nurse and most recently as Clinical Nurse Manager.
He began duties at Guyra on July 1 and is busy familiarising himself with the staff and patients. He said that the major project for the MPS remains the construction of the Helipad and work will continue towards making this a reality.
