Traffic will be reduced to one lane, alternate flow, while road widening and other safety work is carried out on a four kilometre section of road near Hillgrove.
Work will start on Tuesday 17 November and will be carried out from 7am to 5pm on weekdays.
Transport NSW says the road widening is expected to be complete by Christmas, weather permitting, with further safety improvements to be carried out in the new year.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
