Organisers of the 10th Cinema Under the Stars, a free, family friendly community event by Newcastle Permanent, are hoping to attract about 3000 people this year.

Returning to Armidale's Civic Park from 5.30pm on Saturday, February 22, there will be a screening of the new release blockbuster movie, Aladdin, rated PG.
There will be great live music from Scotty Troutman and Luke Ligtenberg, kids activities including a circus workshop, roving characters and football activities, and once the sun goes down the screen will light up for the feature movie.

Armidale branch manager, Terry Manning, said Newcastle Permanent was proud to deliver what is now Australia's largest free regional outdoor cinema program.
"We understand how much people in regional communities across NSW look forward to our Cinema Under the Stars events, and it's a real pleasure to give these events to the communities that support us," he said.
People were encouraged to bring along their picnic rugs and picnics, or purchase food and non-alcoholic drinks at the event to soak up the magical atmosphere of watching a popular family film in the great outdoors.
This season's Cinema Under the Stars will travel to 14 locations throughout regional NSW.
