Malpas Dam has risen by 0.3 per cent and now sits on 33 per cent, while Uralla Shire Council Mayor Michael Pearce said the town's situation had not changed.

With scattered falls of rain reported throughout the Northern Tablelands and North West Slopes, councils remain hungry for good news about water supplies. Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray was pragmatic.
"That's only about two days more into Malpas Dam, but whatever water we get in there, whatever the increase, it will all help," he said.

Bundarra was certainly one place that got more early on.
Water restrictions were lifted earlier this week by Uralla shire when Taylor's Pond filled after inflows into the Gwydir River. The Bureau of Meteorology recorded 54.5mm of rain in Bundarra during the last seven days.
However, at 12pm on Friday January 17, it remained a mixed bag of results across the region for the 24 hours until 9am for the last seven days.
While Emmaville managed to be beneath 11.8mm, Bolivia amassed 21.2mm. The Glen Innes Ag.Station measured 9.6mm, while at Glen Innes Airport 17mm was recorded and Danthonia managed 16.4mm.
Further west, and Kings Plains had 13mm, Nullamanna 7mm, Glenorchy 5.6mm, while things were a heavier further west where Stannifer received 46.8mm, Stannifer (Middle Creek) 74.5mm, Elsmore 26mm and Inverell recorded 36mm. Down the highway Warialda snagged 59mm.
Tingha scored 61.6mm, Ben Lomond (Beulah) 33mm and at Guyra 42.4mm fell.
While Armidale received about 39mm, to the west Yarrowyck was recording 59mm.
Those weekend forecasts from BoM Cr Murray placed so much faith in predict showers and possible thunderstorms across the north east and northern slopes and plains for Saturday, possibly increasing to rain at times. A possible shower or thunderstorm developing across the western slopes and plains.
A few showers and possible thunderstorms across the east and adjacent western slopes on Sunday will extend to parts of the inland during the day.
Monday holds showers and possible thunderstorms more likely about the ranges and adjacent western slopes, with daytime temperatures generally below average and north east to north westerly winds.
