BACK AT IT: Guyra's first grade team will hit the park for the first time in 2020 against Hillgrove this Saturday.

Guyra's first grade team sat out the first week back of the cricket season with the bye but the lower grade sides took the field.

The second grade side scored a convincing win over Easts at the truckstop.

Batting first, Guyra's Heath Dowsett made 59 not out.

Ben Friend was the next highest run-scorer with 51 while opener Grant Ryan made 17, Troy Martin finished on 28, Jake Davies was caught on 33 and Peter Presnell ended up with one not out as Guyra finished their innings 4-202.

With the ball Justin McKay took 3-43, Kieran Davies 1-46, Corey Torrens 1-11, Andrew Boyle 2-30 and Dowsett 1-28 to bowl Easts out for 197.

Second grade have the bye for round 11.

Guyra's third grade side just missed out on a win in their Twenty20 match by Ex-Services.

Servies batted first and finished with 7-158. Tim Foster took 3-26, Simon Brown 2-15, Peter Ahoy 1-28 and Andrew Pearson 1-10.

In the run chase, Adrian Cameron was Guyra's top scorer with 38 as they finished their 20 overs 11 runs short of the win on 7-148.

They'll play Hillgrove this Saturday.

First grade will be back on the park again on Saturday for round 11 and will face a Hillgrove side coming off a loss to Easts.

Hillgrove will be without up to eight of their regular first graders but Guyra captain Charlie White isn't sure how his team will line up.

"I haven't really organised much yet," he said.

"To be honest, I wouldn't really be bothered if it rained on Saturday.

"But I think we are fairly full-strength. Matt Finlay had a finger problem and I am not sure how that is going.

"None of us have even been to training yet."

No matter who he turns up with, White isn't going to take an under-strength Hillgrove lightly.

"They have got good young fellas and if they have eight missing, they have got eight missing," he said.

"Cricket is a funny game, you can't take any team for granted.

"We have to turn up and do our job and hopefully we come out on top."
