Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall officially opened the $100,141 State Government-funded redevelopment of the Guyra Gun Club's camping facilities and amenities at the club's two-day shoot last weekend.
The grant allowed the club to install eight new powered camp sites on the grounds, and construct a new publicly accessible amenities block.
The club now has 15 powered camp sites, which more than doubles the number of caravans, tents and pop-top campers that can set up at the club during competitions, Mr Marshall said.

Competitors and their families have already put the new campsites and amenities to use.
"The shoot was a really good test of the new facilities, in particular the amenities, and I'm happy to say they were right on target," club handicapper Greg Brunsden said.
"Competitors arrived at Guyra as early as the Wednesday, and all of them raved about the cleanliness and accessibility of the new standalone amenities located right at the camp site."
Mr Brunsden was proud of what the club had achieved because of the grant.
"With this project complete I'm confident we are in the box seat to potentially host future regional shoots which will draw more visitors to Guyra and inject much needed funds into Guyra's economy,"
Mr Marshall and Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray inspected the new features at the weekend's shoot.
"As we saw by the 80 competitors over the weekend," Mr Marshall said, "Guyra Gun Club is a popular venue for shooters. Now the facility has infrastructure capable of catering for everyone's needs without them having to camp on top of each other."
