So, with Guyra still getting 60 per cent of its water supply from tankers, what is the situation with the pipeline?
Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray said the official planned opening was originally on December.
"So, we've managed to fast track it, so were actually still well ahead of time," he said.
ALSO READ:
"We were hoping it was going to be open and fully operational last month, but the teething problems, as was expected, are just holding us back at the moment.
"Air was leaking into the pipe and that matter was resolved, but there are some other little problems that I haven't been briefed on as to why it's not fully operational."
Cr Murray said he would be more concerned if the pipeline operated perfectly and the small problems became apparent after the trucks were sent home.
