Alipate Kaufana, Mone Aho, Kiteau Fortu and Frank Tealofi have all donned Guyra jerseys in either league or union before but due to a local team's absence in the senior competitions, have joined the Elks for this year.
In the seven rounds of the competition, the quartet have helped the Elks reach fourth spot on the ladder with four wins and three losses, their most recent a win over the Armidale Blues 32-12.
In round one, the Elks beat the Blues by 27-7.
The second round saw the Elks post their second win on-the-trot when they took on the Barbarians in Armidale.
With no bench players, the Elks ventured down to Alcatraz and scored a 29-15 triumph over the Baa Baas.
In the third round, the Elks couldn't secure their third win on the trot with a 31-5 loss to Robb College.
The Blues got the better of the Elks in round four with a 43-14 drubbing.
The following round, they couldn't even field a side and forfeited to the ladder leading Tamworth team.
In round six the Elks bounced back with a 36-12 triumph over St Albert's College with coach Sam Price highlighting Fortu's performance where he scored a hat-trick.
"A couple of individual brilliances there, a chip over the top and a regather to run away with it," he said.
In their most recent outing against the Blues in Armidale, Price attributed the win to their effort in defence.
"Solid defence again which seems to be the key," he said.
"When we defend really well we seem to be able go better.
"We can control the footy and play the game we want which was good to see so hopefully we can keep it up."
The Elks sit in fourth place and Price believes they have the potential to make an impact if they can get players on the park every week.
"Very happy with how the season is progressing," he said.
"If we can continue on and keep the numbers we will be laughing."
"I look forward to see how we go for the rest of the season."
The Elks are off to Armidale again this Saturday to face Robb College.
