"We have done a flip from where we were last year," he said.
"Last year we started the season pretty sketchy through all grades and then towards the end of the season we were competing with most teams.
"This year we started the season strong.
"I have no doubt the boys will bounce back, they are pretty pumped after the weekend."
The first grade team have a bye for the final round of the season and Cameron is hoping a few members of the squad can find their feet in the lower grades before the finals series starts.
"A few players know they are out of form, especially with the bat. It is probably more our top order that is letting us down a little bit," he said.
"We are usually losing two or three really quick every week.
"The bye will come in handy this week with a couple of blokes that haven't been great form with the bat go back for a couple of weeks to find a bit of form.
"Hopefully that will help them out a bit.
"It probably doesn't work out too bad having the bye at the end of the competition rounds anyway."
In second grade, Guyra missed out on a win against Hillgrove.
Hillgrove posted 137 and Guyra were bowled out for 125.
Third grade were downed by the second-placed Easts Anytime team.
