Barry Simpson took all three neearest-to-the-pins.
Next Sunday will be an 18-hole par for a club trophy, and Saturday’s event will be Bruce’s Bash which is a 14-hole event of all par threes as a two-person ambrose.
The midweek winners this week were the Drought Breakers with 71 points. The individual winner was John Cummins with 19 points.
Keep in mind the ladies versus men matchplay on Saturday, December 15.
Weekend Sailing
Results from the Inter-Club Regatta on Malpas Dam, home of the Armidale/New England Sailing Club:
Two races were held over the course on Saturday in ideal conditions. Local fleets from Tamworth and Armidale were boosted by visiting coastal laser dinghy sailors from The Harwood/Clarence River Club (Grafton) and the Great Lakes Sailing Club (Forster).
The honours for Saturday were shared, setting up for an excellent day of racing on Sunday.
Local hero Chris Thompson blitzed the field, clinching the individual and team regatta title for himself and New England.

Heat 1 of the Thunderbolt Cup (contested by North-West clubs): New England ahead of Lake Keepit 8 points to 20 Heat 2 will hopefully be at Lake Keepit in March 2019.
