The group are also keen supporters of the proposed New England Rail Trail.
“We see it as a wonderful opportunity for our town and our region,” Mr Mills said. “It will benefit our CBD, farm-stays, and businesses, with visitors to our motels, cafes, supermarkets, pubs, and hotels, as happens in every other region and state.”
Should the trail open, the club plans to create events to draw visitors to the region.
"We're very thankful to Armidale Regional Council to take the initiative of conducting a feasibility study,” Mr Mills said. “We understand the details and the facts should be sooner than later."
The society is also are advocating Armidale Regional Council to upgrade and provide a multi-purpose recreational trail around Mother of Ducks Lagoon.
"We understand and support Adam Marshall in trying to get the funding for this important asset of our community," Mr Mills said.
The society members help in Guyra with the Lamb & Potato Festival, and the Trout Festival.
They also participate in fund-raising rides in Armidale, Walcha, and other towns, such as the seven-day Ride for the Chopper, a charity mountain bike ride for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
