Drama teacher Leasa Cleaver said the cast and crew had been busy preparing for Shrek: The Musical Jr, which debuts this week.
“It’s a family favourite. We’ve had the students asking for a while if we could do Shrek and this was the year,” Ms Cleaver said.

“It’s a classic fairytale but not done in a traditional way. It has positive themes and a great story line for the pupils.”
The school’s Hoskins Centre will be transformed into a swamp for performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Ms Cleaver encouraged people to purchase a ticket and support the pupil’s efforts.
“We have love some more people to come and see the show. It’s going to be a lot of fun," Ms Cleaver said.
“We have nearly 40 middle school pupils working in the show and behind-the-scenes. The students really drive it.
“It builds there confidence and self-esteem – you get to see another side of the kids when doing something like this.”
Tickets are $15 per adult and $10 per student.
