The idea was to celebrate the national day of the patron saint of Brittany, the peninsula on north-west France, jutting out into the Atlantic.
The celebration os St Yve (who is also patron saint of lawyers) was part of a continuing series of events to mark the Celtic theme in Glen Innes.
Judi Toms spoke about the saint and Garek Fysch provided the food: Breton/French delicacies, Coquilles St Jacques (a rich creamy sauce and scallops), asparagus quiche and cider.
The “national” anthem of Brittany was played. It is identical in tune and title to the Welsh national anthem.
Morris dancing was provided.
Why they wore masks is not clear.
