Autumn Lodge Aged Care put on a bingo game today for residents and members of the Armidale community to mark Seniors Week, the statewide festival celebrating senior citizens’ contributions to society.

"This is the first time we've actually done an event for Seniors' Week,” said leisure and lifestyle co-ordinator Di McFarland.

“We go to them all, and I just thought it was nice for us to have something here for a lot of our residents who are unable to get out as well."

To mark the week, the home also arranged lunch at the Bowling Club yesterday, and a visit to the SunnyCove retirement village on Friday.

Autumn Lodge is a not-for-profit community-based aged care service, which caters for senior citizens from their early 70s to 104.
