Guyra Polocrosse Club hoped for around 25 teams to take part in their annual carnival and this year’s event exceeded that with 30 teams saddling up.

“We had 30 teams, [it was a] great weekend [with] great weather,” club member Katrina McKemey said.
“A few comments were made about our fields being really good as well.”
While the host club didn’t take out any of the divisions, the juniors finished runners-up on a countback to Quirindi and the B grade women’s team also managed to snag the second place prize. Guyra featured heavily in the individual awards.

Ella Vidler picked up sub-junior encouragement award, Zac Finlayson won the junior best number one award while the most improved junior trophy was presented to Claudia McKemey.
Meagan Vidler was named the best number three in the B grade women’s.
Guyra named Jock Grills and Bo Derek the best horse and rider combination of the weekend.
