The $2.7 million designs are up for parley in shop fronts on Bradley Street.
Armidale Regional Council mayor Simon Murray said the plans now include ideas from community feedback.
“I am confident the revised plans for the Guyra main street have addressed the community’s concerns,” he said.
“I encourage the community to review the plans and provide further feedback, we want to hear if people are happy with the revision or if they feel there is further room for improvement.”
Council’s design engineers have changed the plans to reinstate the nine parking spaces that had been meant for outdoor dining areas.
The street stall will be moved to sit in front of David Cameron Real Estate, while the pedestrian crossing and refuge have been put back in front of the IGA.
In a win for the differently-abled, four accessibility parking spaces have been added.
The concept plan includes full reconstruction of the road pavement, footpath paving and new kerb and gutters – along with street landscaping, bins, seats and new street lights.
Guyra’s young people have been invited to take part in the project.
A public art competition will be held with students from Guyra Central School and council’s Art and Culture Committee.
The winning artwork will be incorporated into the main street design.
The plans can be viewed in Bradley Street shopfronts, the Guyra Administration Building and at yoursay.armidale.nsw.gov.au until March 16. The consultation period was supposed to have closed on December 1.
