Armidale War Memorial Library, Guyra Library and the Youth Advisory Committee, are each offering a range of fun activities for children and young people.
“Each school holidays, Council aims to organise activities and events that are free or low cost for children and young people to participate in,” said Sally Schofield Program Leader - Community Services.
Armidale War Memorial Library is hosting:
- Storytime is on every Tuesday from 10.30-11.30 including craft
- Colouring in is available in the children’s library every day
- Wednesday 10 January 11am – 12noon - Lego
- Tuesday 16 January 2 sessions 10.30-12.00 (7-12) and 1-3.30 (13-18) - Cartooning
- Thursday 11 January at 11.00 and Thursday 18 January at 2pm - Origami
The Guyra Library is hosting a full program of activities including:
- Wednesday 20 December at 2 pm – colouring in
- Tuesday 9 January at 10.30am – School holiday movie ‘Captain Underpants’
- Wednesday 10 January at 2 pm – Lego
- Thursday 11 January at 10.30 am – friendship rock painting
- Monday 15 January at 10.30 am – paper plane flying competition
- Wednesday 17 January at 2 pm – colouring in
- Friday 19 January at 2 pm – card making
- Tuesday 23 January at 2 pm – school holiday treasure hunt
The Youth Advisory Committee is offering:
- Tuesday 16 January, Armidale War Memorial Library – Cartooning Workshop
- Thursday 18 January, Guyra Library – Djembe Drumming
- Friday 19 January at dusk in Curtis Park – Outdoor Movie ‘Trolls’
