It’s been a tough start for the newcomers to the top tier with their opening games against premiers Hillgrove and a flying City side resulting in losses.
With round three washed out and last week the competition taking a break, the side haven’t played since October 14.
Guyra’s round four opponents landed a blow in their previous game, toppling competition favourites Easts.
Guyra captain Charlie Keen said it will be another challenge for his young team.
“We’re looking forward to this week’s game,” he said.
“Ex-Services are the same as any other team in that they’ve been playing together for a few years now, while we’re still developing and and finding out each other’s strengths.
“But like I’ve said before, we need to get the basics right – bowl tight line and length and show some serious patience with the bat.”
