It’s called Why Leave Town and co-founder Ashley Watt spoke at the Guyra Bowling Club on Monday to businesses who are keen to see what they can do to boost the local economy.
Guyra & District Chamber of Commerce president Aileen MacDonald said the workshop gained support from the Chamber.
“It was a great workshop and I know our Chamber is keen to implement some of the points covered tonight,” she said.
The workshop was broken into two categories including the benefits of having a local shop strategy.
These involved ways to make it easier to shop, creating an experience, widening the range, creating a niche and building community pride.
Part two included how to implement the concepts and involved measuring success, building business to business culture, becoming local advocates and enhancing the digital footprint.
