After months of training and fundraising the mother-of three has raised $12,000 for the Armidale Renal Unit and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital’s Transplant Unit.

Initially Mrs Scholes-Robertson planned to walk from Armidale to Sydney – but fire dangers meant she had to make some changes.

“For the next 18 days I’ll be doing 25 kilometres a day around Sport UNE and the university grounds,” she said.

For the last few days of the trek, Mrs Scholes-Robertson will walk around Sydney’s northern beaches to the RPA hospital.

Bacon and egg rolls, provided by the Lions Club, will be available outside the hospital on Saturday from 7:45am before the walk commences at 8:30.
