Locals dig deep for club

The junior Super Spuds once again held a successful club fundraiser.

More than $4000 was raised on Saturday night for the local rugby league club through raffles and the auctioning of donated NRL memorabilia, including a Titans experience and signed jerseys.

Guyra junior league president Gina Lockyer said the Bottom Pub was filled with people supporting the club.

“Everything went really good, it was really well supported by the junior league,” she said.

HELPING HAND: Guyra junior rugby league players will benefit from the money raised at the annual Super Spuds fundraiser night with every cent going back to the club.

“Guyra United soccer club came along so it was really good to see the two clubs come together.

“Thank you Cookie, our major sponsor, and to our businesses houses who donated to our raffle and auction.”

All the funds raised will go back into the junior Super Spuds.
