Group 19 junior rugby league is back in action this Saturday with the Super Spuds hosting Ashford Roosters.
Games begin at 10am with the first-placed under 8s.
The next game features another of the junior Super Spuds ladder leading teams in the junior league tag girls at 10.50am.
The unstoppable under 10s start at 11.40am before the third-placed under 12s get underway at 12.30pm.
While the Guyra club has three teams sitting at the top of each table, it has been the under 10s who have notched up a remarkable record this year. Four rounds remain before finals time and the under 10s sit five points clear of second place in Warialda.
From 14 games they haven’t recorded a loss.
They have amassed 720 points this season and hold the best defensive record with 144 points scored against them, 576 their differential.
Warialda have the second best defence but are still 48 points behind the Super Spuds.
“We are playing really well,” Guyra junior league president Gina Lockyer said.
“There are three under 8s in the 10s so that goes to show how lucky we are.”
Players from Guyra also feature in the Glen Innes under 14s and 16s teams who are sitting second and first respectively on the ladder.
