The Guyra Cricket Club is holding a Super 6s Cricket Carnival on Sunday, March 5, as a major fundraiser for the year.
The format of the day will involve 12 teams of a maximum of eight players with six players taking the field at one time. Each player will bowl one over and bat two overs.
The games will be split into four pools of three teams. Semi Finals and Finals, with each team getting four games. Games will be split over the Truckstop Rec Ground and Guyra Central School ground.
We only have enough spots for 12 teams so it will be first in best dressed.
All teams have to be nominated by February 26 so a draw can be made up.
This is a fun day with modified rules including 6 step runups for bowlers and five runs for dismissals.
There will be prize money up for grabs and a BBQ and refreshments will be available to purchase at the rec ground.
Cost of the day is $30per player/$240 per team.
Games will commence at 9am and hopefully the Final will conclude by 5.30pm.
A presentation will follow at the Royal Hotel Guyra. Players must be 14 years and over.
To nominate your team or if have any questions relating to the day, please contact Adrian Cameron 0427 351 059.
