The executive members of the Guyra & District Chamber of Commerce were be busy developing a strategic plan for the organisation on Sunday.

Chamber Development Officer Hans Hietbrink has developed the strategic planning workshop and will be conducting it for the executive team and other selected members of the Chamber.

“The day will provide an excellent opportunity for the executive committee to work together, away from day-to-day work pressures,” Chamber President Aileen MacDonald said.

“We are going to focus on where the organisation is going and how to get there.

“By contributing actively to the development of our strategic plan, our committee members at the same time develop a commitment to ensuring that the plan is implemented and the objectives within it are achieved.”

Mr Hietbrink said the workshop would allow members to begin planning to establish goals.

“This is the start point and the basis for further development of the Chamber and its members,” he said.
