Icy westerly winds travelling 45km/h meant Queenslanders weren’t likely to shed their thermals. However, some locals were spotted wearing shorts down the main street.
Icy winds and below-zero overnight temperatures saw Guyra only get to a top of five degrees on Wednesday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Showers are predicted for Thursday with a morning low of 2 and a high of 9 degrees.
Locals reported snow near Ben Lomond on Wednesday afternoon.
