Guyra junior rugby league players took on Group 19 representative responsibilities in Moree on Sunday.

Tahmani Landsborough and Tom Lockyer played under Peter Presnell for the under 12s side who won 22-16 Group 21 and lost 28-12 to Group 4. Billy Yeoman played in under 13s who won 26-18 against Group 4 and lost 32-4 against Group 21.

Youman was also awarded a Country Rugby League football by coach Adam Hillier as a result of his defensive efforts in both his games.

In the regular rounds of the Group 19 competition, the junior Super Spuds travelled to Bingara and it was all-round victories for the club. The under 8s were too good in their 46-26.

The under 10s stretched their lead on the ladder with another walloping 46-12 win.

After consecutive losses, the under 12s hit back to win 28-16. The speed of the junior league tag girls was far too much for Bingara, running out 36-8 winners.

The league takes a break for school holidays and will resume July 22.

Billy Youman was superb in defence for Group 19.
