Dedication to training payed off with quite a number of students achieving results within the top 20.
Almost all of our runners showed marked improvement in their placings since last year. Brooke Newberry and Shanae Wark who came 3rd and 4th in the 10 year girls section. This makes both girls eligible for the Catholic Primary Schools Carnival to be held in Eastern Creek on June 16.
On Wednesday, May 17 Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Vidler and 48 students attended the zone cross country at Bellevue Oval in Armidale. Teachers from other schools commented on the high level of skill and the level of sportsmanship of our students. The following students will progress through to the North West carnival in Coolah on Friday, June 16: William Knox, Brendan Landsborough, Archie Dowden, Riley Campbell, Kyiesha Landsborough and Robert Sisson; Ella Vidler is the first reserve for the 8/9 year old girls. Congratulations to all of the students and we wish all of the students attending Coolah good luck. If they place at Coolah, they will run at state on July 21.
